Hey there! Thanks for joining us on our adventure. We are Jackson and Summer, an American couple that loves budget travel, backpacking, and all things adventure. We are so grateful for the opportunity to share, and sincerely hope it helps you to get out there! Because, as Captain Ron said, if anything’s going to happen, it’s going to happen out there.
We thought we would start with some information about ourselves so you can get to know us!

We met in college and have been together ever since – over 10 years now! In 2019 we quit our jobs to travel full time and spent 7 months exploring North and South America.
It was incredible to see the world without being constrained by the 9-5 lifestyle. We realized how burnt out we had become and are so stoked we took the opportunity to live while we’re young (shout out to our fellow phans).
We aren’t here to pretend that traveling this much is easy. There’s no secret trust fund that’s funding all our travels. Long term travel takes years of planning, saving, and hard work. This is why we decided to start a blog dedicated to helping others achieve their dreams of traveling the world! From our tips and tricks to saving money at each destination we visit, to our detailed budget tracker to help stay on budget during your adventure, we are here to be as helpful as we can.
We are now married and settled in Colorado, which means we’re back to working full time. Still, we make the most of our PTO and savings to make our travel dreams a reality. Otherwise, you can catch us on the mountain (hiking, backpacking, snowboarding), enjoying live music, and spending time with our pets, family, and friends (in no particular order).
Quitting your job and diving into the unknown of full time was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done! Still, there is nothing better than prioritizing your own happiness, and in doing so finding a whole new side of fearlessness that you didn’t know you possessed.
